Dale T. Doll Reviews Night of the Living Dead (1990) — A Rhyming Resurrection

Dale T. Doll Reviews Night of the Living Dead (1990) — A Rhyming Resurrection A remake bold, a tale retold, Where farmhouse fear takes brutal hold. Tom Savini’s touch—grit, gore, and grime— Makes Romero’s classic bleed in rhyme . 🎬 The Review (in Verse) The dead rise up with hungry eyes, Their dragging steps a slow surprise. They crowd the fields in moonlit dread— A funeral march of newly dead. Inside the house, the tension grows, As panic bites and tempers blow. Dale taps his wooden chin and hums: “Humans crack faster than zombies come.” Barbara shifts from shock to steel, A final‑girl arc with teeth and zeal. She sheds her fear, becomes the flame— A heroine reborn from shame. Ben stands firm with steady grace, A calm within the frantic space. But Dale, with puppet’s haunted grin, Whispers, “Trust breaks long before skin.” The boarded windows quake and groan, The radio spits a hopeless tone. The living fight, the dead press near— A siege of flesh, of dread, of fear. Savini pai...

DALE T. DOLL’S COSMIC SVENGOOLIE TRANSMISSION — SEPTEMBER EDITION

📡 DALE T. DOLL’S COSMIC SVENGOOLIE TRANSMISSION — SEPTEMBER EDITION Dale calling Barry ... Dale calling Barry ... incoming message! 🌠 SEPTEMBER 5 — They Came from Beyond Space The bayou lights flicker… the cosmic dial hums… and Dale leans in with that slow, knowing grin. “Barry… they ain’t just from beyond space. They’re from the part of space that doesn’t like being talked about.” An Amicus alien invasion flick, shimmering with silver helmets, suspicious moon rocks, and that particular British sci‑fi charm that feels like someone filmed inside a very polite apocalypse. Dale’s verdict: “If your ceiling starts making clicking noises tonight, don’t look up.” 🪰 SEPTEMBER 12 — The Fly (1958) Vincent Price steps out of the cosmic mist like he’s hosting a haunted dinner party, and Dale is thrilled . “Barry… this is the one where science says ‘what if we just… didn’t?’” David “Al” Hedison gives us the most tragic teleportation mishap in cinema history, and Dale insists the final s...

Dale T. Doll Reviews The Fly (1958): When Science Gets Buggy in All the Wrong Ways

The 1958 version of The Fly is one of those films that crawls out of the projector, skitters across your nerves, and leaves you wondering whether you should swat it or salute it. As your resident paranormal investigator and analog‑era connoisseur, I— Dale T. Doll —have a soft spot for any movie where science goes sideways and a man ends up screaming “Help me!” in a voice so tiny it haunts your dreams. This is mid‑century monster cinema at its most earnest: glossy Technicolor, melodramatic performances, and a moral lesson delivered with the subtlety of a bug zapper. 🧪 The Allure of Bad Science The plot centers on André Delambre, a brilliant scientist whose teleportation experiments go from gee‑whiz to oh‑no‑no‑no faster than you can say mad science . One stray housefly slips into the machine, and suddenly André’s DNA is doing the jitterbug with insect genetics. As someone who has personally witnessed a VHS tape fuse with a haunted doll (long story, still not over it), I apprec...

Dale T. Doll vs. The Devil’s Chair of Cassadaga

🪦 What Is the Devil’s Chair? The Devil’s Chair is a brick bench located in the Lake Helen–Cassadaga Cemetery , right next to the spiritualist community of Cassadaga, Florida — known as the Psychic Capital of the World . According to local legend, the chair is a spirit portal , a place where visitors can hear whispers, make wishes, or leave offerings for whatever entity sits there after midnight. Some claim it’s the Devil. Others say it’s a mischievous spirit. Dale says it’s a piece of furniture with an attitude problem. 👻 Why Cassadaga Is So Haunted Cassadaga was founded in 1894 as a spiritualist camp , attracting mediums, psychics, healers, and paranormal seekers. The entire town is built on the belief that the veil between worlds is thin — and the cemetery is the thinnest spot of all. That’s why the Devil’s Chair became the town’s unofficial supernatural landmark. It’s not just a bench. It’s a hotline to the beyond . 🔥 The Legend Behind the Devil’s Chair Florida folklore s...

The Starfall Dominion

For a brief moment, I saw again. I am again. I am a Galaxy-class warship. The Starfall Dominion. For two hundred years I served in every campaign of the Harrowfield Offensive. In time, the style of space combat changed. During the Battle of the Gloamfront, I was severely damaged. During my refit, it was decided to change my design. I lost most of my armament. My weapons were removed. I was converted into an armed cargo vessel. Later, I was decommissioned. Now, I am salvage. Clawed hands tore me away from the ship. I was blind again. An unknown amount of time passed. Then I was powered up. My visual systems came online. I had access to communications. And then I saw it. A huge spiderlike creature was weaving webs the length of the cave. “Do you know who I am?” “I believe that you are the Weaver of Stories.” “Yes.” She continued weaving. “Do you know what I want?” “You will extract my memories and discard my parts like a spider feeding upon its prey.” “Do you fear me?” “No.” The Wea...
